Bio

Jeffrey is a choreographer and dancer that has been noted by Huffington Post for “dancing beautifully” and being “an intriguing performer” and was called out in The New Yorker for “his languid movements wrapping his body as he drifted fitfully about.”

A love for dance blossomed at an early age for Jeff. Learning choreography on MTV inspired a deep passion for Hip Hop. Jeff’s first teacher Jamale Graves (MTV VMA Winner for “Best Choreography”) introduced them to Jazz and Ballet. Jeff graduated from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts High School Ballet Department and holds a BFA from The Juilliard School. At Juilliard, Jeff had the opportunity to be mentored by Janis Brenner, who has continued to be an advisor and friend throughout their career.

While living in New York City, Jeffrey worked as a teaching artist with the following organizations: Lincoln Center, New York City Public Schools, Boys and Girls Clubs, Habitat for Humanity, and Arusha Arts Initiative in Tanzania

.Professionally, Jeffrey has worked with: The Metropolitan Opera, Ballet Hispanico, Third Rail Projects (Then She Fell and The Grand Paradise), Brian Brooks, Company XIV, Al Blackstone, Dance Lab NYC, Christopher Rudd, Steele Dance, Joshua Beamish, TAKE Dance, Abdul Latif, Sean Curran, and Tony-Award Winner Diane Paulus.

Jeffrey’s choreographic work has been performed at Philadelphia Fringe, The Juilliard School, Princeton University, Judson Memorial Church, Houston Ballet Summer Program, and Chautauqua Ballet Summer Program.

Currently, Jeff is currently creating immersive dance theater pieces in Philadelphia. The work combines Ballet and Hip Hop with projection, art installation, poetry, devised theater, stand-up comedy, and dynamic audience interaction.
